But it's just unbearably slow for me right now. If RightFont could fix the performance issues, I'd easily upgrade this to a four-star review. It offers many features which help you manage all your local fonts with ease. RightFont is a lightweight font manager with a clean, beautiful interface. It constantly either says "no fonts to display" or fails to alter the screen when you make changes, leaving you to think nothing has happened or will happen when it has and it will. RightFont 5 is an innovative, beautiful and professional font manager app for macOS, helping designers to preview, install, sync and manage their font files. (Weirdly, it seems like this is specifically limited to the library view when in "all fonts" view it goes faster, which is counterintuitive, but ultimately unhelpful, since the whole point is filtering.)Īlso, the UI is pretty questionable there's no loading state indicating that the app is working in the background, which is bad for an app that does as much work in the background as this one does. It's literally faster for me to navigate through the fonts in Finder than it is to go through my library in this app. In any case, I have a large font library, and literally every action-from scrolling to right clicking-takes several seconds, brings up the rainbow spinner, and sends my modern PC's fans into overdrive. I suspect it may have switched to Electron under the hood and that's what's causing the problem, but that's just a hunch. RightFont *used* to work great a version or two ago.
